WORKING WITH YOU
Therapy is an experience unlike any other and the hardest part is getting started. If you are searching for a therapist, there is a good chance you are looking for a new perspective or approach to an aspect of your life that isn't working. You may be wanting to feel differently towards a part of yourself or the people in your life. Cultivating a space where you feel fully heard and acknowledged while sharing thoughts, feelings, events, and ideas can be a powerful experience that inspires surprising changes. I work with my clients to bring awareness to patterns of relating to self and others that may have historically worked well. In creating new ways of living in the world, my intention is to support the growth of flexibility and help build a foundation from which you are able to make conscious and freeing choices.
I invite complex people facing difficult issues, and tend to work in the following areas:
Relationship issues
Persistent depression or anxiety
Challenges related to life transitions
Grief/Loss
Trauma
Substance use issues
Issues related to food and eating
Chronic pain or illness
Low self-esteem and identity issues
Religious or spirituality trauma or questioning
EMDR
If you are struggling with one of these issues or seeking support during a difficult time, please contact me to see how we may work together. I work with individual adults, couples, and groups.
PAYMENT AND OUT-OF-NETWORK INSURANCE
I offer an initial phone consultation at no charge and can be contacted for availability. Finding the right therapist can often feel daunting. I'm sensitive to this and welcome all questions and inquiries.
My fee is $275 for a 45-50 minute session and I accept payment in the form of check, cash or credit card. I offer a sliding scale when possible for clients with financial restrictions and will discuss this with you in our initial consultation.
If you'd like to use health insurance, I can work with you to understand your coverage. While I do not accept any insurances in network, my services are partially reimbursable (up to 70% depending on your insurance plan) through out-of-network insurance coverage. At the end of each month, I provide you with an invoice outlining the information requested by insurance companies to submit an out-of-network mental health claim for reimbursement.
Questions for your insurance to determine your coverage:
Do I have out of network mental health coverage for outpatient services?
If so, what is my deductible and have I met any of it yet this year?
After meeting my deductible, at what percentage am I reimbursed?
How do I file a claim for reimbursement? Can I submit online or is there an address to which I send the claim?
